new X1 dvr box not recording current channel when TV is off

My previous x1 dvr box recorded the current channel while the tv is off for the prior 60 minutes.   When I used to turn the tv back on, I could go back 60 minutes and watch the prior 60 minutes.      My new X1 DVR box does NOT record the current channel while the tv is off.  It records scheduled recordings just fine    Did Xfinity get rid of this capability on newer X1 DVR boxes?   Is there a setting I need to set?  Thanks

Hi user_s3n4hg! Thanks for visiting our Xfinity Forum. We appreciate you being a customer with us, and my team is always here to support you. Just to confirm, are you selecting to record the program on that channel previous to turning off the TV?

No.  My previous xfinity x1 dvr buffered 60 minutes of the channel that the tv was on when turned off.  So when I turned the tv on I could always go back 60 minutes on the current channel.

@user_s3n4hg The X1 TV Box supports HDMI Device Control (HDMI-CEC), which places the box into Standby mode when the TV is turned off and automatically wakes it up when the TV is turned on. This feature is enabled by default but can be turned off via Settings > Device Settings > Power Preferences > HDMI Device Control (HDMI-CEC). You can try that and see if when you turn the TV back on, it will allow you to rewind the TV since the box had not been in standby mode.
