No option for 4K resolution in settings

yesterday I ordered a 4K box through the Xfinity site and receive it today.  It looks like the model is XiD-P Because that’s what it says on the back.

I hooked it up to the TV and everything seems to be working fine.  However, when I go into video output resolution on the settings, The best option is 1080P60 HD, No option for 4K

Hello @ftran999 ! Thank you for reaching out to us today.
@BIslander is correct, that's not a 4k box, the XiD-P model you received is actually a standard high-definition box, which maxes out at 1080p resolution. To make sure we get you the right hardware, could you let me know if you are currently on one of our legacy, grandfathered packages, or if you have migrated over to our updated plans?

Thank you for your response.  Apologies for the delay in replying.

It looks like I’m on the Expanded Basic plan

That's not a 4K box.  Two do 4K - the wired XG1v4 and wireless Xi6.  Some areas also support the newer wireless XiOne.

@BIslander so Comcast sent me the wrong box then?

unfortunately I can’t seem to post a screenshot, but Comcast did send an email confirming I had ordered a 4K box

Unfortunately, don’t seem to be able to post a screenshot here,  but Comcast did send me an email confirming that I had ordered a 4K box.

In my experience, it's about 50-50 getting the right equipment that was ordered.
