Picture and Sounds blinking on and off

I just bought a new Samsung TV.  New HDMI cable.  Tightened all coaxial cables.   Even replace the one from the router to the cable box.  The pictures and sound blinks in and out.   I have tried using the app to get it to fix.  This is our primary box.   Our 2nd box/tv has no issues.   It will work 1 day then not the next.   I am spending a lot of money and everything should just plug in and play.

How do I fix this?   When I get the screen to show I have adjusted the display options.  None work.

Hello, @carlislemom sorry for the inconvenience with your picture and sound going out. Since the Samsung TV is new have you confirmed that the issue is only with the TV? Have you attempted to plug the TV box into a different TV to see if it produces the same reaction? When troubleshooting through the Xfinity App, what steps does it take you through and the ending results? Any connection issues detected?

We tried on multiple televisions over the pst couple of months.   On the old tv, we had the same issue and a tech came out and said it was the HDMI ports.  Brought out the bedroom TV and had no issues until  until the HDMI ports failed - it would not even recognize a computer.    Both TV's were over 5 years old.

With the new TV the first day we connected the blinking was sporadic and went away by downgrading the display on the cable box.  Now the blinking is constant.  I have tried everything the Xfinity app says to do.  Unplugging everything, switching HDMI cables and ports.  1 day everything works fine, the next it doesn't.

The cable comes in to the house straight to the living room into a splitter.   I have replaced the splitter and the coax output to the TV.  The HDMI cord is only about a year old.  We have tried resetting everything.  Within the past 1 to 1 1/2 years, the cable box and modem have both been replaced.   Our secondary box has no issues.

I just want to be able to turn the TV and cable box on after work and have everything work as it is suppose to.

carlislemom. I completely understand the frustration, especially after replacing equipment and trying multiple TVs, HDMI cables, ports, the splitter, and other troubleshooting steps. You should be able to turn on your TV after work and have the service work consistently. Since the blinking continues to return despite everything you’ve tried, we’d like to take a closer look at the equipment and connection to determine the best next step. Could you please send our team a Direct Message with your name and service address? Our team can take a further look at this issue.
