Pixilating Recordings

The last few weeks most of my recordings have a lot of intermittent pixilating and audio disruption.  How can I get a new TV Box without driving an hour to an Xfinity store?

Totally hear you—and before we send a new box your way, let’s try a few quick things just to rule out any setup or signal issues. Sometimes a few simple steps can clear that pixilation right up without needing to swap anything out.

First, let’s give the box a fresh start. If you haven’t already, try unplugging it from power for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in. This helps reset the connection and can fix a lot of weird glitches like pixilating or audio dropouts.

Next, make sure all the coax cables going into the box are finger-tight—especially the one coming from the wall. A loose connection can definitely cause the kind of issues you're seeing.

Also, if you're using an HDMI cable, try disconnecting and reconnecting it at both ends (the box and the TV), or even swapping it out with another one if you’ve got one handy—sometimes it’s just a cable being fussy.

If you're still seeing issues after that, let us know and we will nbe happy to look into the issue further.
