Remote control voice option

The voice button on my remote control isn’t working

Thank you for meeting us here about your voice button, @user_vtt5ei. We're happy to troubleshoot with you. I assume you've already changed the batteries to rule out that isn't the issue. Can you tell us a little more about what happens when you press the voice button? Do you know which model voice remote you have? If you remove the back cover, you may find a model number there.

I have an XR15 remote that no longer accepts voice commands.  It did until this month.  I've gone through all of the reset options including disconnecting and resetting the remote, resetting the tv box and everything suggested on-line.  The remote on my other tv works fine and accepts voice commands.  I tried for 30 min to call xfinity but could never connect to a live representative, and it kept hanging up on me.  Do I need a new XR15 remote?  Thank you.

Thanks for reaching out to us,  we do apologize for any inconvenience you're having with your Xfinity remote.  As a customer myself with grandkids and two puppies I go through a lot of remotes lol.  

 

Sounds like you just have a remote that needs to be replaced. The fastest way to get a new remote is to go to one of our local Xfinity stores and pick up as many as you need for free.
