Requesting for a new box that is Multiview capable and . . .

I was told the best way to resolve any Xfinity problem or equipment request is to access it through this Community Support Forum, so here I am ;-)

I just discovered yesterday that Xfinity has a cool service called MultiView (for Sports) and so I used the Voice Remote to access MultiView and the TV screen stated that my older box cannot do this service but for Free they will send a capable box that can do MultiView.

I just got the Xi6 box today BUT I can't use it because it can't be used as a "Primary Box" -

(since I only have one older XG2v2 Box in the house, it has to be a Primary Box.)

So I am requesting the XG1v4 Box that can do everything we need to enjoy the awesome Xfinity services with: Coax IN, 4K, MultiView and it's a Primary Box.

Hello @TopDogDave, Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your day to leave a post on our community forum and we would be happy to help. I would need to pull up your account to see what equipment you have and what is available to you. If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you. To send a Direct Message, please click on the chat icon in the top-right corner of the screen, next to the bell icon, and then type or select "Xfinity Support" to initiate a direct message.

@XfinityChelseaB

Hey, Thanks for your reply, but this is what I did:
I just decided to go to the Xfinity Store and exchange the Xi6 Box for a XG1v4 Box.

I received it all wrapped up in plastic, thinking that it was a brand new Box, but after opening I could see that they just wrap-up Old Used equipment, (unfortunately) - but at least I got it ;)

Last night I (tried) to install it (for 4 hours) and Yes, I do know what I'm doing.

The reason for this particular XG1v4 Box is because it is: Coax IN, a stand alone "primary" Box and it provides the MultiView Service for Live Sports.

BUT, this Box would Not get past the Welcome Screen, It rebooted at least 40 times (aka: boot-loop) and in between it would reboot the TV itself and show the "input" screen and of course it was on the correct input because you wouldn't get a Welcome Screen (from Xfinity) if it wasn't on the correct "input screen".

So to "prove" I know what I'm doing, I re-installed my Old and Crusty XG2v2 Box and it's working fine.

Sorry for the long reply but maybe this will help someone else ;)

So, it looks like I will Never have the MultiView Service, that I was dreaming about . . .
