Streaming from 3rd Party App (such as Prime) Causes Reboot

Over the past few days while streaming shows from a 3rd party app, my X1 box randomly restarts itself.  The box does not reboot while I'm watching other channels (like Food Network), only when using 3rd party apps.  What is causing this?

Hi @R1200RT, thank you for taking the time to join us here on the community forums. The issues you are having sounds pretty convenient especially with some great shows running on streaming services right now. Just to clarify, is the box turning off, or is it running through the entire reboot process? Typically, during a full reboot you will see a welcome screen appear, and the process could take around 2-5 minutes to complete.

My issue sounds "pretty convenient" ??? - how does that make any sense?  It's INCONVENIENT if anything.  I don't think a cable box rebooting itself in the middle of streaming a show is convenient in anyone's definition.   

To "clarify", yes, the box randomly does a full reboot.

Thanks for clarifying and we do apologize for any inconvenience or typos. I've had the same issues happen to me while streaming some third party app, . where the app will reboot and kick me out of the app. What I do when I have that happen,  I unplug the power cord from the back of my cable box for 30 seconds & plug it back, doing this will update the software and firmware. Also I do a hard reboot on my modem by unplugging the power cord from the back of the modem from 30 seconds as well.
