Hi there @user_izsnq8. Are you still having issues with your cable box freezing?

InfinityRaf, if you see this message, I am having a similar problem but it freezes at least once nearly every hour. Time of day doesn't seem to matter; it freezes at 4 a.m. We didn't have this issue before switching to the 4K box, and this box was great for a week or two. The router was exchanged when the freezing started because it was a few years old so Comcast and we thought that could be the problem. We ran diagnostics with no issues detected and our internet speeds are awesome. No freezing when streaming. I'm wondering, though, if the originally installed splitter (20+ years) could be the issue. The router is in the basement while the 4K box is one floor up, almost directly above the router.

It sounds like you’ve done some excellent troubleshooting already @WAPhilsPhan! Since your streaming is smooth and your router is brand new, we can definitely rule out a speed issue. You’re likely spot on about that 20 year old splitter! Our 4K boxes are much more sensitive than older models and require a very clean, high-frequency signal to stay synced with our servers. Are you using the wireless 4k box?

Thanks for replying. No, not wireless. Strangely, today there has been no picture freezing, everything has been working beautifully. Last evening, it was freezing every few minutes and while watching a DVR recording, I hit fast forward and it wouldn't stop until I unplugged the box, both coaxial and power cord. I will monitor this but also get a new splitter.
