The concern is not "Community Knowledge Base" related............ Topic moved here to the TV help section for assistance.

Thanks for reaching out! Since your Xfinity remote is working for power and volume but not changing channels, it sounds like it might be paired to control your TV but not your Xfinity box.

Here’s a quick fix to try:

  1. Make sure the remote is in “Cable” mode – On some older remotes, there’s a “Cable” or “Xfinity” button that needs to be pressed to control the box.

  2. Try pressing the “Xfinity” button on your remote and see if the menu comes up. If not, it may need to be paired to the box.

  3. Re-pair the remote to your TV box:

    • Press and hold the Setup button (or A + D on newer remotes) until the light turns green.

    • Then press 9-8-1. The remote should blink to confirm it’s reset.

    • Now, press and hold the Xfinity and Info buttons until the light turns green again.

    • Follow the on-screen prompts to finish pairing.

If that doesn’t do the trick, let us know what model remote you’re using (like XR15 or XR11), and we can walk you through more specific steps!

XR11 remote will not change channels.  The cable power box on and volume works

user_arupa8 Are you seeing LED activity on the remote? We might need to get you out a replacement remote, our XR15 is an amazing upgrade to the XR11.
