why so many Just a moment, you've caught us in the middle of a quick household update"

Ever since an upgraded router was sent and install I keep getting this message when I turn on a TV that was powered off; "Just a moment, you've caught us in the middle of a quick household update" And if I don't, I just get a black screen, not the last channel when I shut it off, and nothing will happen until I voice remote a station.

Yes and No, I didn't have it happen today so I hate to say it's all good now. But up until today it was happening all the time, several times a day.

It's not what it was like prior to the router upgrade. Whenever I turn on any of the TV's I get a connection, but a black screen until I use the voice control to say a channel, and then it becomes visible.

Hello @user_eofhel, Thank you for the update! When you have a moment, could you please check if Power Saver mode is enabled on your box?

You can do this by pressing the Xfinity button on your remote, then:

  • Navigate to the Settings (gear icon) and press OK
  • Go to Device Settings
  • Select Power Preferences
  • Check the Power Saver setting and toggle it off if it’s currently turned on

Let us know what you find
