X1 Apps

Greetings. My question regards the use of Apps. I have the XG1-A dvr with a 400 mbs internet connected ( which is running at full speed) ..   When I access the Xfinity button on the TV and select Apps it takes about 30-45 seconds to bring up the Apps to select from . After I select an App (Prime,Peacock, etc. ) it take 2-3 minutes for the App to appear at the home screen. I see a rotating circle so I know its trying to access the App. When it finally appears, moving within the App to select a movie or show is very slow also .   Once I have selected something when it finally appears there is no lag or stutter watching ....   Does anyone know why this would be the case?  Thank you in advance for your input ....

The XG1v4 is the best dvr but you have to order it though this site and you may get charged a shipping fee. 

If you go to the Comcast store, you're stuck with whatever they have. They may have the XG1v4, but it's unlikely.

That is an old DVR, you need to upgrade to a newer model DVR.

Thanks for the quick response .. I have HD boxes in 2 other bedrooms and I tried them and they work fine ... This DVR sits only 10 feet from the gateway with an uninsulated wall between but I didn't think it would affect it that much to affect the wireless connection ...   I assume I can just go into my local Xfinity store and swap boxes ..  Would you have any idea what model I should ask for or just explain the problem and they will get it right?  Thanks again
