Xfinity assistant told me to contact a live agent through customer support but didn’t say how. Can anyone help?

I need to replace the power supply for my tv box. Xfinity assistant told me to contact customer support and talk to an agent.

Good luck getting a live one on the phone. Has become next to impossible. Keep saying "agent" to the recording, that works sometimes

Sadly, they have made it nearly impossible to reach a live agent.  The only trick I know is to say that you want to disconnect your service, and then reply that you are not disconnecting due to a move.  That will get you to someone whose job it is to try to convince you to continue being an Xfinity customer.  When they answer, you can explain that you really aren't intending to disconnect but that their automated phone service did not allow you to reach anyone other than a robot unless you threatened to disconnect your service.  I don't know why Xfinity has downgraded their customer support so severely as it surely doesn't engender customer satisfaction, and if you're trying to reach them clearly you have an issue.  If AI was "ready for prime time" and could actually resolve a variety of issues it would be one thing; but instead they just want you to waste your time answering prompts and listening to generic messages that don't address your individual problem.

Hello @user_tn7y5q, Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your day to leave a post on our community forum, and we would be happy to help. The best option is to take your cable box into the Xfinity Service Center and swap it out for a new one. You just need to use our Xfinity Store Locator and put in your address to find a store near you.
