Xfinity box

Why can’t Xfinity fix the issue with tv failing to recognize Xfinity box after unplugging hdmi cable to play Xbox - that issue has been raised tons of times yet I find myself in same predicament - yes I’ve turned off power saving yes I’ve replaced hdmi cable

user_0psg3s That is a great question! This is not something that should be happening. I can swap the HDMI cable to the TV from the Xbox and the other way around with no issues at all. I only have one HDMI port accessible due to the mount on my tv so I have to make this change all the time and do not have any issues.  If you know the HDMI port on the back of the TV you are using is not the issue (they can stop working as well) and the HDMI cable is also confirmed to be a good one then I would try swapping out your box.
