Accessing emails in Xfinity App

My emails are no longer pulling forward in the Xfinity app on my Pixel phone or my Pixel tablet. I can access the emails via a browser and they do pull forward into my Gmail account. But when I open the app and click the email button, it pulls up the email inbox but no emails are shown. I have tried all the recommended fixes (clearing cache, data, uninstall, restart phone, etc) and none have fixed the issue. I've had issues before with the app with the circle just spinning and nothing loading but it has worked fine for the past few months until today. Very frustrating!

I'm having a similar issue with the app on both my Pixel phone and tablet. The email box opens but no emails are shown. The emails are present when I access them in via a browser and also pull forward into my Gmail account, the just don't pull into the app.

Greetings @user_kga5a,

Thanks for taking the time to create an official post, thanks for letting us know some of the fixes you have tried. I want you to consider the fact that when attempting to view your email from the Xfinity app, the button is just opening a browser within the app. Clearing the app cache always helps things to run smooth, but in this instance you'll actually need to try clearing the browser cache that is being used. Overall we recommend book marking the for a smoother experience https://connect.xfinity.com/ page. I find that opening webpages in apps can be quite cumbersome, and I opt to always open the external browser itself.

Once you've learned which browser is being used in the app, please attempt to clear the full history of cache and cookies natively. Once done, please circle back here to let us know if that resolved the issue. 👍

Yes I'm aware that I'm just opening the browser within the app - why is that? Shouldn't the app just open the emails directly like every other email app does? And I have the browser link too, just like the idea of having all the other Xfinity account options in one place.

I cleared the cache for my Google app and Chrome app in addition to the cache for the Xfinity app - what other caches do I need to clear? Still doesn't work

It should be whatever browser your default browser is on the phone. I'm not sure if there are others on your specific device outside the ones mentioned. But as far as the email being built into the app that feature has been discontinued. We were not given a specific reason why it was removed. But my best guess is due to many of the emails migrating to Yahoo. So if the browser popup in app is not working we recommend just book marking the email link above and accessing from the browser directly.
