Apple TV+ app

I have x1 4k box and Apple TV won’t stay logged in when I switch from one tv to another keeps coming up QR code. When I try resetting app it never clears my info. Very annoying. Apple says Xfinity problem. Xfinity says they see nothing wrong. Please help.

Hello and thank you for your post @user_papa We are happy to help you with your Xfinity equipment. Just want to make sure we are on the same page. You are trying to keep your Apple TV App signed in or are you trying to clear your info from the Apple TV App?

@XfinityPeterH  when I switch from one tv to another it kicks me out of Apple TV app. All other stream apps stay logged in without fail.

Thanks for letting us know. Since it is only happening with Apple TV it sounds like an app issue, but I know you have already talked to Apple who said it's our issue. When you say you switch from one TV to another I presume you are speaking within your home and you have more than one X1 box that you are trying to use the Apple TV App on correct?

Yes within my home. I have the main x1 box and 2 smaller boxes. The 2 smaller ones seem like there staying logged in. But if I log in the main box it kicks the 2 small ones out and so on. I can play the app on 3 tvs simultaneously. My x1 box is older like before Apple TV + existed so I wonder if the main box is the culprit since the 2 smaller ones can both stay logged in it seems

Thank you for keeping us posted, @user_papa! Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app on your main box?

Let's keep working on this together. Please navigate to:

  1. Settings in the Apple TV app
  2. Go to Accounts > Password Settings > Require Password

Which option is selected there?

[Images Removed: "Personal Information"] I don’t see password settings as options
Just sight out, manage subscriptions, parental controls, and sharing with non Apple devices

I appreciate you sending that picture over. It looks like you have different options when you navigate to settings through the cable box. Are you able to sign into the app on another device to see if you can access the account settings there?
