Can't Activate My Own Modem
I've been on the phone with xFinity support for an hour with no progress. I am trying to set up my own modem through the app, but when I attempt to activate it I am prompted to scan the QR code for an xFi gateway. Nowhere will the app allow me to scan the barcode of a third party modem. When I enter the information manually I receive an error message. Has anyone experienced something similar or know of a possible solution?

We'll be able to get started from there!
To send a Direct Message, please click on the “Direct Message” icon in the top-right corner of the screen, next to the bell icon, click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon, then type or select "Xfinity Support". Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window and press Enter to send your message and initiate a live session.
