ethernet connected devices not showing up as connected on Xfinity app

I'm trying to port forward but my device connected via ethernet cable to my modem isn't showing up as connected on the Xfinity app.

Hello, and thank you for reaching out regarding your port forward concerns. I'd love to further review with you to help figure out what's causing the device to not show. I recommend checking out the steps listed here to see if any of the reasons listed may be causing it to not be listed.

@XfinityStephanieK​ Thank you for responding, unfortunately that article did not provide anything to check I haven't already. 

The device I'm trying to port forward is a router I have connected to the modem via ethernet cable. I have disable ipv6 on the router and it does not have a static IP address assigned. The device shows up as not connected when looking at my devices via the gateway admin page, but it is definitely connected as the router is providing my desktop computer internet.

@brettarchey Have you attempted to connect other devices via the ethernet cable and are you having the same issue there?

I no longer work for Comcast.
