Gateway not showing up in the Xfinity App

My internet is up an running just fine, but my XB6 modem from Xfinity is not showing up in my Xfinity app. Under the WiFi tab it says I'm online, but under Xfinity devices is shows 0 devices connected. How do I fix this?

I am happy we were able to work through the steps to factory reset your modem, and accessing the Admin Tool to see your device again @user_dmy111! Please don't hesitate to reach out in the future if you have any other questions/concerns, we are happy to help!

Good afternoon! Thanks for posting on our Xfinity Community Forum, @user_dmy111! It's awesome that you're making great use of our app to help you with your devices 😀.

If your modem shows as online in our app, but isn't appearing under Devices, please make sure you're connected to your home Xfinity WiFi network and not a public hotspot or another connection. Also, if you're using a third-party router or WiFi extender, devices connected through those may not appear in the app.

As a next step, try signing out of our app and signing back in. You can also review your modem information and learn more about managing devices with xFi here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfinity-xfi-faqs.

Give those steps a try and let us know if you still need assistance. We're happy to help!

I am connected to my own home wifi router, which is connected to the Xfinity XB6 modem, which should be operating in bridge mode. Unfortunately I cannot confirm that, because I seem to have no way to connect to the modem and check its settings. I have tried signing out of the Xfinity app and back in, and it still shows that I am online, but no devices are shown in the list of devices. I tried going to 10.0.0.1 in my browser and logging in to the modem that way, but it simply says "Managing your home network settings is now easier than ever. To manage your gateway settings and other features, please download the Xfinity app." Previously I was able to check and modify settings this way - how am I supposed to check and modify the settings for the modem now, if it doesn't appear in the app, and I'm not allowed to do it through the browser?
