You can still access your Xfinity Email through the Xfinity website, but it's no longer available directly within the Xfinity app. To check your email, sign in to your account online and select Email from the account menu.

Total nonsense. There are two ways to get to your email inbox (at least on an iPhone, I can't speak to Android) with the Xfinity app. There is no menu or button like there should be but it is easily possible, just not convenient...
1. open the app.
2. go to "Overview" in bottom menu on the left
3. top right hand corner of screen, tap the magnifying glass
4. type "email"
6. "Go to my email inbox" should be one of the the results
7. tap that and finish logging in if so prompted
8. you should then see a small version of your Xfinity webmail...
and it really works pretty darn well...
That's pretty quick and easy so now for way number two:
1. open the app.
2. go to "Account" in bottom menu on the right
3. scroll down to "Internet and mobile facts" or "Manage your plan"
4. both have a small box with an arrow pointing up and to the right and either will work
5. tap either one of those two options and finish logging in if so prompted
6. top row should show: 3 bars, magnifier, shopping cart, and account holder symbol
7. tap "account holder symbol" you should see a vertical list of options one of which is "Check email"
