iPhone 7’s no longer supported by Xfinity mobile app

Customer let down as Xfinity app no longer accessible if you have an older model of iPhone.

@user_ja74qk thank you for the feedback. It does look like Apple software for your phone stops at iOS 15 which isn't something Comcast has control over and with the constant changes in technology minimum software requirements change as well. Thank you for your understanding. In the meantime are you able to gain access to your online account via our website www.xfinity.com?

The Xfinity app did work with the iPhone 7 phone.  It was Xfinity's decision to upgrade the app and leave older iPhone users with nothing.  the excuse that it is Apples fault is ridiculous.  If Xfinity is OK with leaving older iPhones behind, maybe older iPhone users should switch carriers leaving Xfinity behind.

Oddly, all of my other apps still work just fine on my iPhone 6+ and iPhone 7. Why? Because the people maintaining those apps ensured that they would be backwards compatible with iOS 15. PeterH is correct that Comcast has no control over iOS. But it DOES have control over ensuring that the people they hire to write the Xfinity apps FOR iOS are backwards compatible. The company has been aware of this problem for some time now, yet the call centers are completely uninformed about the problem existing, never mind whether or not Comcast intends to find competent coders to repair this bug in the latest version of the app. Someone at Comcast please prove me wrong.

Same basic problem as others.  I upgrade to Xfinity Mobile, use my Iphone 7 to activate, and I'm stuck at the IOS version (16) for an Xfinity App to confirm.  Any suggestions?

You really have only two options, "upgrade" to a different phone, or "upgrade" to a different cellular provider. Comcast, it seems, is not interested in fixing this, only in providing lip service to spin and confuse the issue to mitigate the number of people who will choose the latter option.

@user_r0lqri Welcome to our community forum! Thanks for reaching out so we can answer your questions about the devices compatible with the Xfinity app. The App Store lists the requirements for the devices that can download the app. What iOS version is installed on your iPhone?
