How do I find out if my WiFi is 2.4 or 5? I need to know so I can connect a device.

Hi, @user_1c3620. If your device requires a direct 2.4 connection, you can separate the bands in the Xfinity app.

Hit the "Connect" tab

Hit your Wifi name

Hit the pencil icon in the top right

There will be a check box to separate the bands and modify the name of the bands. Once you connect your device you can put the bands back to the same name and it should be fine. Try connecting devices prior to changing bands to ensure separating is needed. Let us know if you have any questions.

I will try that. My new smart lock for my door / dead bolt requires 2.4 GH, will not connect with 5.0. At least that is what they say. is the 2.4 a significant downgrade to speed? I hate having to switch back and forth every time I want to remotely lock/ unolck the door.

I tried your instructions. got almost nowhere. Connect tab...is that Connections? When I open the Xfinity ap I see no connect tab, no pencil icon etc
