My iPhone doesn't support most recent update of Xfinity App

I'm trying to access my router (Gateway XB8) to manage my network settings, but I have an older iPhone 8 that will no longer support anything after OS 16.7.11, and the app is telling me that I need OS 17.2 or later.

Other than upgrading my phone (which isn't an option at the moment), what are my options for managing my network settings without the app?

Hello @user_yhiyag, Thank you for taking the time to leave a post.  You can manage your network settings on the Xfinity site under Internet, and you can also log into the modem using the admin tool.  I have also attached an article with steps on changing your Wi-Fi network name and password

To be clear - you are stating that the newest update to the Xfinity app *CAN'T* be used on iPhone 8s? Correct?

That doesn't seem very customer-centric, unless I buy a newer iPhone. Not very Comcastic.

@user_d.a.v  Actually this is very Comcastic, I just ran into this issue also, Xfinity app supposed to make life easy, but nope only if you get the newest stuff from comcast and pay more for that, not a surprise been with them for over 20 years and pay far more for all services than someone who just signs up. as soon as the new lines get put in here may be time to change providers.

We know this has been frustrating for those who have encountered this issue as well. That said, you can still manage your network and account directly on the Xfinity website. Additionally, our team is always here to help.

Yea the website is not equivalent to the app, which is broken for no reason.

Tried to get around it with bluestax but its also not supported version.

More important with recent xb8 bugs breaking 2.4ghz connections requiring router reboots.
