Plex
Extremely disappointed with Xfinity’s Plex app. I wanted to share my old family videos with my family. Unfortunately Xfinity locks us out of sharing any videos and will only allow access to the streaming services provided on Plex. As others have stated, I don’t need another streaming app for my TV. Very disappointed with Xfinity to the point I probably will start looking at other providers. In my area I have at least 4 other providers. I will check to see what ones have the complete Plex access.

Thank you very much for reaching out to us here @user_0fe229 A Xfinity Flex box is a free device and service we offer to internet only customers. That is set up to be a voice-controlled 4K streaming TV Box that puts all your favorite streaming apps in one place. That device would not have an option for downloading or sharing content. You can also control your Xfinity xFi service to know what devices are online with that Flex box.

Your answer did nothing to answer my post. A Xfinity Flex box does nothing to solve the Plex media share issue.
Since Xfinity won’t fix the Plex media share issue, then I will start looking for other solutions such as Roku which will allow Plex media sharing as well as a lot of streaming services. Might not even need Xfinity TV services if I do that. Might even come out a lot cheaper. To me, it would be a win-win situation.
