Removal of tv remote app

Pleas bring back this app with all of its functionality!    I enabled me to easily see/scroll through the guide.   It is very difficult to read the guide on the tv.  The ability to search for on demand is also helpful.

Just received an email that the remote app is going away again, please don’t remove it, please restore it for those that deleted it.

 I never received a email of this decommissioned app . Maybe like RSN move the day of. Where is  the value  with Comcast.

First you move many RSN  networks to your Ultimate Tv package now  you remove the Remote app. Yes I can use the streaming app and “some of “  the same feature but why not add the same feature of the remote to stream then I could  see eliminating multiple apps.  Costs go up and we continue to lose more. Comcast’s new marketing campaign should be:

“Comcast /Xfinity_ Less Of What You Are Looking For. “

  Wonder what is next in losses in 2025.

@user_tf5uem I am sorry that an app you enjoyed was retired. The app is no longer available for download or use, and customers who have it installed on their mobile devices will be unable to use it and/or may encounter errors. Customers can use one of these options as an alternative to the Xfinity TV Remote app:


• Xfinity Web Remote 
• Xfinity Voice Remote

what was the reason, why is there no equal or greater functionality replacement offered at the time of retirement.

I agree completely!    The original app functioned well and provided a needed service for people with vision issues.  The listing displayed on the tv is too small of a font and too dark, with not enough contrast to easily read.   PLEASE BRING BACK THE original app.   You had something that worked well...
