Web Hosting on Xfi

I am hosting a personal web server with one of the computers on my home network.  The problem I have is that everyone in the whole world can access my website except another computer on my network.

I've played with firewalls, etc. to no avail.  Advanced security is off.  The error I get is :

resource (*my site)) is online but isn't responding to connection attempts.
Detected

The remote computer isn’t responding to connections on port 443, possibly due to firewall or security policy settings, or because it might be temporarily unavailable. Windows couldn’t find any problems with the firewall on your computer.

Been struggling with this one to no avail.   Ideas...??

OMG - When will Comcast just pull xFi Advanced Security until they get it right OR at least provide the ability for customers having problems to find out why their websites are being blocked AND how to corrrect the problem.  I have 5 sites blocked and no one know why.  Such a shame...

UPDATE:  OMG - I am no longer blocked!  Yes, I am now living the dream!  FWIW - all my websites were blocked from May 29th, through July 6th, 2020.

UPDATE (6/7/2020):  Yuppa - BLOCKED AGAIN!

  1. Are you saying that you only have the problem when advanced security is on?  I have it all the time whether advanced security is on or off.

I only have the problem when xFi Advanced Security is ON.  When OFF - no problem at all.  And, I am being blocked once again.  I can only get to my websites IF I have VPN ON or xFi Advanced Security Disabled.

Again, with advanced security on, NO ONE including me can access my website. With it off, EVERYONE except me can access.

FWIW, if you are trying to access your website by using your WAN / public / external IP address from inside your LAN, you won't be able to. This is known as NAT Loopback and is disabled on many if not most home networking routers.

You can Google NAT loopback for more details.

I was able to do this up until a week or so ago which I believe was when they foisted Xfi upon me. Prior to that this problem never existed for me.

Were you using your external / public / WAN IP address or it's internal / LAN address ?

UPDATE:  Comcast/Xfinity contacted me - so far so good - they are addressing my problem.  Thanks Comcast!
