Why can’t I pause some devices?

Hey I am having trouble pausing one of my devices. I can pause phones , tablets, game systems , even my ring camera but the one I am having trouble pausing is my tv it is my flex box it doesn’t even give me an option to pause it like the other ones normally when you click on a device it shows a purple box with white letters that says pause device but that doesn’t even come up on my tv one , I have clicked and looked everywhere trying to find the pause button for it but it doesn’t work. I would like to be able to pause it

Thank you for taking the time to reach out to our community here on the forums, @user_8b6d8b. Have you been able to pause it before? To clarify, do both the TV and Flex box not show up or both? If possible, try uninstalling and reinstalling it to see if that helps it register the device again.

@XfinityJoshD​ I have tried uninstalling it many time before but it doesn’t work at all and my flex box is how I watch the tv I have never been able to pause and it never once gave me the option do so and it’s the only device that does that … so I tried to assign it as guest and gives me a option to put it on a schedule  but it doesn’t me an option to just pause and unpause it’s like the other devices I just want the purple button so I can pause when I need to

@user_8b6d8b Thanks for posting what you have done thus far. I wanted to let you know at this time the Flex Box is not able to be paused from the Xfinity app or https://comca.st/3GqEjkR website. Since the Flex Box works in tandem with the modem it automatically connects and stays connected. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
