Why is there not an app or a way to view your camera's and download video on the computer?

One down side of having Xfinity home, is when you are trying to wait for someone to show up, i.e. Family, Friends, or a contractor, you have to turn on your app on your phone, pull up the camera and leave it on.  The camera displayed on the screen of the Home security system can be up to a minute or two behind.  Why, oh WHY isn't there an app or way to be able to pull up the live feed on your computer?  I mean this makes the most sense, as most people use computers so much, why isn't there away to be able to do it?

I should be able to log into anywhere and have access, why is this so complicated?  If you don't want to build a platform for it, then just have a website emulate the app and let us use it that way.  This can't be to complicated.  So why isn't there an app for the PC to access our cameras?

Hello, @tronwolverine

That shoulds like a great idea that is well overdue. I recommend submitting your feedback for this idea here. In the meantime you can keep tabs on what's happening in and outside your home at all times, with live video you can view from anywhere. Add recording for just $10/mo*. See what you missed from anywhere, plus easily review activity with AI that detects people, vehicles, and pets. Use the Xfinity Home app for Xfinity X1 to view and modify your Xfinity Home settings directly from your X1 TV box! Use the Xfinity app or the Xfinity Home app to watch live video as well as video clips recorded when your 24/7 Video Recording enabled cameras detect activity.

@XfinityThomasC I have that already, but it doesn't work like it should.  I had an event occur in my home, and I pay that fee to have my camera's recorded on the cloud, and because "AI" didn't sense anything there is no recording of the event.  If the "AI" doesn't sense it there are gaps in the recordings.  It does not keep 100% of the recordings, like second to second.  There are gaps in them, I can show anyone that wants to doubt me.  This is another thing I dislike about using the cloud recording and the AI to do it.  I noticed this a few years ago when I first got the system, in the fact that several times I tried to review the camera's to look at an event, that the event would not be recorded, or would be between two recorded times that the "AI" deemed to be recorded.  I will submit the idea to the link provided, but this is another issue as well, the system not truly recording 24/7.   I also have had packages delivered, and the "AI" not only missed the delivery, but no recording of the delivery is available at all because it falls into this non-recorded time.  Why does the system do this?

There may be an issue with your service @tronwolverine if the AI is not detecting movement. Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address? To send a direct message:

1. In the top right corner, you'll see a little chat icon near the bell icon. Click the direct message icon

2. Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

3. In the 'To' line, type "Xfinity Support" there. A drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list (an "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line)

4. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

5. Press Enter to send it. An official employee, such as myself or whoever is first available, will respond. Thanks!
