Xfi gateway showing offline in app

I have an xb7.. I have restarted the unit and even sent a signal from the app and factory reset the modem.  But the one comcast app shows everything is fine and the purple xfinity app shows my gateway is off line?  My speeds at 1200mbps and all devices are good?  Why is the app showing this?

The same issue is happening to me and I can’t figure it out.

My XFi app also shows the gateway is offline even though WiFi is working with no issues.  I tried resetting the gateway through the XFi app and also online by having Xfinity send a signal.  It has not resolved the problem and the XFi app still shows the gateway is offline.   Since WiFi is still online, I suspect there is a glitch in the app.

@ user_165a6a and All,
The issue being described in this thread can happen for a couple of different reasons.
When any changes are made to your Comcast account, it may take up to 72 hours for the Xfinity My Account app to adjust. This includes changing services, troubleshooting, restoration after a service interruption, etc., etc..
Additionally, when errors occur with the My Account app, it's recommended that you check for available updates in your App Store/Google Play Store. Errors may also be corrected when a scheduled update is automatically pushed through.
Any of these scenarios will not affect your services.
Please let us know if these issues persist after considering these scenarios!

Yep, same thing happening here too. Sigh. It’s too bad we can’t adjust screen time settings (parental controls, whatever it’s called) through My Account. Hopefully this gets resolved soon!

Hey there, @user_322464! Thanks for your comment. I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing a similar issue. Have you tried using the xFi website instead of the app to manage the devices? Are you experiencing the same issue there?

That’s the same issue I’m having and I can’t adjust the parental controls and my child is losing their mind. Hopefully they fix it soon

We would great like to help you with getting this all sorted out. I was curious if you had tried any of our remote signal options from our Xfinity MyAccount app? Our app allows for remote troubleshooting where our systems can analyze the diagnostics and send a effective signal for the hiccup happening.

Same thing here.   Just called them and they said they are getting a lot of calls on this 😕  my internet has been working fine but my account & app both day my gateway is offline.  I’ve done all the normal troubleshooting (restart, unplug, tech support sent restart signal…). No change is status.  But the Wi-Fi is still working.

Good morning, @Debbie_25[Edited-corrected username]. Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention. We definitely understand the importance of having everything reflected as accurately as possible on all platforms. With that said, I do see where you went through some troubleshooting steps on your own (thank you for sharing those details). With that said, just to clarify are you seeing the error on the Xfinity MyAccount app and the Xfinity app? If so, have you tried uninstalling and re-installing the apps on your mobile device?

At least the internet service still working, I hope Xfinity can resolve this issue pretty soon.

Exact same issue. Single point of failure is a common symptom of bad design.

Anyone know of a workaround to turn devices back on a Friday night?

Hello, @user_4emff52e! Thanks for your comment. To confirm, are you also unable to unpause the devices? Have you tried our xFi Website instead? Are you having the same issue there?

Happening the same... mirroring the message about kids wifi being shutoff and they are loosing their minds... I am going to bill xfinity when they burn the house down. But seriously, The apps on my phone and my wife's phone are showing the gateway offline but wifi is still working... I have restarted... unplugged and plugged back in... logged out and back in.... uninstalled and reinstalled from both the home screen and from settings... I have looked up online and found that this happened about a year ago to a bunch of people... It is also showing the same for the online website although it did very briefly show the home screen before flashing to a new screen that says my gateway may be having issues.... Also, anyone else notice there is almost no way to talk to a human person?
