Xfinity app Bluetooth

Why does the Xfinity app not the Stream app? Use Bluetooth when I’m in my car either reviewing one of my three accounts or looking at my cameras the Bluetooth kicks in and slows the app down incredibly it is very aggravating. How do I shut it off?

Hi there @V_fig376!  Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out to Xfinity Support here on our Community Forum.  We are so glad to hear from you and more than happy to assist in any way that we can.  Before we get started, we need some clarification.  Are you saying that you are unable to access the app due to your device being connected to Bluetooth or are you having an issue with the device you are connecting with being able to connect to Bluetooth?  Either way, you would need to check the Bluetooth settings of the device you are using the app with.  The Xfinity app doesn't control your Bluetooth settings.

I’m trying to shut Bluetooth access off on the app the app works fine but when i have my phone connected Bluetooth to a speaker or car and I launch the app the app takes over the Bluetooth device and plays on the speaker or car and then keeps disconnecting and connecting to Bluetooth and slowing the app down there is no need for the app to connect to my Bluetooth devices.

Thanks so much for that clarification @V_fig376.  Are you able to access the Bluetooth settings on the device you are accessing the app on?

Yeah I can access Bluetooth settings but for the Xfinity app has no choices to turn off Bluetooth on the app

In your device settings @V_fig376, not the app settings.  Are you able to change the Bluetooth settings in the device menu you are using the app with?

I used to have access to the old home app and had no issue with that app just recently stopped working and now I need to use just the Xfinity app and when I launch it keeps connecting and disconnecting from Bluetooth and in the car the cars system keeps telling me call ended over and over and over again
