Xfinity App - cannot turn off marketing push notifications

I get regular marketing push notifications from the Xfinity app. There doesn't seem to be a way to opt out of these without turning off all notifications (which is shady and frustrating! do better!). I would like to continue to receive push notifications about devices connecting to my wifi, etc. But I do not want any marketing. How can I disable or opt out of these?

In the app you can try going to the Account tab > Account Settings > Notification Settings > Push Notifications

If that is not showing the marketing toggle in the app you can try on our website. I was able to replicate this for my account on the Xfinity webpage just now.

1. Visit our Xfinity Privacy Center at https://www.xfinity.com/privacy/requests/choice

2. Sign in if you are not already. The webpage above will confirm your name and address.

3. Once past the verifications it should take you to https://www.xfinity.com/privacy/requests/choice#Preferences which will have the option "Customer Choices"

4. In the customer choices page there is a toggle option for "Allow personalized ads online, in mobile apps, and in video service"
