Xfinity App Not Working to Activate Storm Ready WiFi

I am trying to get a new Storm Ready WiFi device activated, but the Xfinity App simply says "Sorry we are having trouble".  How do I resolve this issue?

Hello @kq12 and thank you for taking the time to visit our Xfinity Community Forum with your Storm Ready WiFi activation concerns. I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you've had, and I'd love to see what we can do to help! You've come to the right place :) Our Digital Care Team is awesome to work with because we'll do everything we can to review and resolve concerns as quickly as possible.

Here's how to Activate or remove Xfinity Storm-Ready WiFi using the Xfinity app. With the error you're receiving, I definitely recommend running through some troubleshooting first (i.e. log out and force-close the app, uninstall and reinstall it, etc.) Have you taken any of these steps yet?

Please also note that sending unsolicited private messages to myself or any other user is a direct violation of our Forums guidelines. You must first create your own public post requesting assistance, and once a Comcast verified employee responds and asks for a private message to be sent, you can then proceed with doing so. This is just a heads up for future reference, and I look forward to assisting you further!

Yes, I have followed the trouble shooting steps and reinstalled the app and that has not worked. I have seen on the forum that sometimes it can be related to my account setup, I recently moved so have a new account number, is there a way to investigate if that is the issue?
