Xfinity App something went wrong

When trying to change my SSID and password I get error something went wrong. I have tried restarting my router, unplugging my router, clearing cache and app data and uninstalling the app but I get the same error.

Getting that same issue today (3/14/26) after just enrolling with Xfinity.  I can login to the router at 10.0.0.1 but it says can only change SSID and password through the app.  But when use the app, it says "Something went wrong."  How can I change the SSID/password?  Thank you!

I was able to make the changes from my computer.... see if this works for you....  I tried to add screen shots here but did not take an image.  I can email you those if needed.

once you get to this page, it resembles the wifi change screen on the app and you can modify the SSID and password... only difference is it SAVES and WORKS!  :)

Wow!  Amazing!  That worked.  I appreciate the help.  I also discovered that the app works on the iphone.  My wife has an iphone and I was able to get it to work on that.  But it is great to know that it will also work online.

I wonder when they will work on getting the android version fixed.

that is good to know on the iphone... I didn't think of trying that... my wife has an iphone, too, and me a Samsung.
