Xfinity app/Android - can't show devices or network

The big value in the Xfinity app (used to be Xfi) is you can see and manage the devices connected to your network.  I can no longer do that, because if I choose to look at network details or use the Connect button at the bottom of the screen, it tells me something went wrong and it can't display my data and I should try again later.

However, if I use the help assistant and ask it how to "view connected devices", it offers me a search result that will show me the list.

So if I want to view and manage my devices I have to go through the help assistant (the three dots at the top) every single time.

What is up with this?  Searching the forums show that this app has been plagued with problems for at least a year and none of them are being fixed.

This is the main function for which this app is made, and if it doesn't work without asking the help assistant every time, it's pretty poorly designed.

I uninstalled and reinstalled, deleted all the cache and app data, it still remembered who I was signed in as so I chose to 'sign in as someone else' to get a clean slate, and nothing is better.

Why would I ever consider a service like Xfinity Mobile if this is the best they can do with a little app??

@fiddletwist

Thanks for choosing to work with us here online to discuss this feature of the Xfintiy app. I love seeing all devices that are connected to my network as well. We always want it to be easy and convenient to get the information you need to manage your network as well. With three kids growing up and having more access to the internet, I find these types of features are essential.

You should still have access to this function. When you sign in to the Xfintiy app, there will be a “See What’s Online” option. If you click that and see devices, you can click the arrow next to each to see device details. However, if you don’t see any devices, you may need to register them on the app.

@XfinityDevinC

Thanks - I will save this information for the next time it malfunctions.  Eventually it began to work again, so I think it was some kind of temporary glitch.  I don't believe it was anything I actually did that solved it...
