Why won't my mobile device activate? (Answered)
Activating your device is easy, but sometimes there can be issues. We'll help you get it working.
Having trouble setting up your mobile device?
Here are a few things to check:
- Select Set Up Over WiFi when activating your device.
- Confirm that "Xfinity Mobile" appears at the top left of the home screen. If not, follow these steps:
iOS
- Connect to a WiFi network.
- Go to Settings > General > About.
- Wait for the Carrier Settings Update promp, then select Update.
Android
- Connect to a WiFi network.
- Go to Settings > About phone > Software update.
- Select Download and install.

- Restart your phone by turning it off and on.
