4K Streaming?

I’m looking to get rid of my satellite boxes to save money since prices keep going up. I read that the stream app if used through a fire stick will stream in 4K but an app through Samsung TV will not stream in 4K, just HD. Is this correct?

@GRBU2 At this time the stream app is not set up for 4k. The flexbox we offer would be my suggestion if you're looking for a device that can provide 4k content. First one is no cost, further have additional costs and more information can be found here (https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfinity-flex-overview).

I have X1, so don’t think I can use a Flex box.


I have a main 4k box, is there an option for my satellite boxes (in other rooms) to also stream 4k? Right now it appears they don’t.

If you have our X1 4K DVR, the FLEX Box will not work with it.
