apps will not open

I get an error message every time I try to access an app like Youtube or Hulu.  I have Xfinity cable and Verizon wi-fi.  Here is the error message I get.

https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/x1-flex-paid-movies-apps says:

To use (some of) these apps, you’ll need ... Xfinity Internet service (any level).

And I don't think that means "internet service, like Xfinity Internet", I think it means ONLY Xfinity Internet.

Also, https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/x1-youtube-app-overview says:

To use the YouTube app on X1, you'll need: ... Xfinity Internet service

Here are the detailed steps to direct message us:
