Brit box subtitles black out

After watching Brit box with subtitlesfor about 40 minutes then subtitles get black boxes over them. I have to exit the program and then they come back. Can you fix it?

Hello, @user_sr4ssx. I hope you're having a great Saturday morning. I appreciate you making us aware the subtitles are getting blacked out after a while. I would be more than happy to help figure out a solution to this problem. Is this the only program you're having this issue with? Have you by any chance tried restarting the cable box by using the Xfinity app?

This only happens on Brit Box. It has been happening for about a year now. I have had a box change on one tv. still happens. I am ready to cancel my subscription as I cannot here what is being said.

Having the same issue and cannot find a solution on the 3 threads on the forum I have reviewed.

I've only had BritBox for about three weeks, and the issue has been evident since signing up.
BritBox closed captions work for 30-40 minutes and then become solid black bars with no text.
Restarting the BritBox app solves the issue for another 30-40 minutes.
Happens ONLY with BritBox, all other apps work fine.

I am still having the same issue as described. There is no error message when the issue arises.

Steps to recreate the issue.

• Launch the Britbox App

• Closed captions are on.

• Everything works fine for 30-40 minutes
• Caption bars change to solid block with no white text visible.
• Tried turning captions on/off with no success.
• Only remedy is to Exit app and restart, where captions work fine for another 30-40 mins.
