Fast forwarding recorded show

When I try fast forwarding a show using the Xfinity Stream app on my Samsung Smart TV, it stops and keeps sending me back to the beginning of the recording. This only happens on my Samsung Smart TV. When I use the Xfinity Stream app on my Android tablet, it works just fine.

Here are the current version of the Xfinity Stream app and my tv.

Samsung Tizen OS Version: T-RSSFDAKUC-1397.1

 Xfinity Stream app Version: 2.6.1

Hey @Nintendo_boy96, Thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Forums Community support page. This was a known issue that resolved on October 19th. If you are still experiencing the issue, we recommend uninstalling/reinstalling the application, clearing cache/data, and signing out and back in. Could you please give these steps a try and let us know if you are experiencing the same issue?

That's great to hear thanks for the update! Did you do anything specific for the fix to come in or did it happen by itself?

I cleared the cache and app data, and I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I tested the fix on a recorded show that finished on Monday, October 19th, and it seemed to work fine. On Thursday, October 22nd, I am currently watching a show that just started recording at 8:00 pm.

I went to the Xfinity Stream app, went to my saved section, and started watching that show around 8:10 pm. I tried fast-forwarding to skip the end of the last show to the beginning of my show; it happened again. I tried fast-forwarding, and when I pressed play, it went back to the beginning of the recording. Now this has happened both times for Law & Order: SVU and Law and Order on NBC (HD Channel). The one I tested after you gave me the troubleshooting steps, and it worked fine, is Law and Order Toronto: Criminal Intent on CW (HD Channel). Is the issue happening only on the 2 NBC shows?

Note: My first show, Law and Order SVU, just finished recording,g and now I can fast-forward just fine now. Is the issue that the show didn't finish recording?

We are not indicating any known issues with specific shows @Nintendo_boy96 . It does sound like there has been some improvement. We recommend giving it time and check with future recordings as these can be one-offs.

As I said, fast-forwarding is fine once the show is done recording. It's just while it's recording.

@Nintendo_boy96, I will need to pull up your account to investigate this further. If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you. Click "Sign In" (If necessary). Click the "Direct Messaging" Icon. Click the "Start New Conversation" (pencil and paper) icon. In the “To:” line, type "Xfinity Support". As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list. An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window. Press Enter to send it. How to: Direct Message Within The Forum.
