Peacock Premium free offer email sign up not working?

I get the activate offer button and after I click on it, I am prompted to enter my email but I get an error message that says "Sorry there's been a problem. Please try again. No other options, and no email from Xfinity or Peacock. I see that it looks like it directs me to Peacock site and I can attempt to create a new account and sign up for a monthly pricing plan but nothing about Xfinity covering the charge?
