Roku streaming audio issues
While using the Xfinity app on my Roku Streambar the audio regularly degrades in quality after watching for 20-30 minutes. There’s a click and then the audio starts to sound scratchy and like it’s in a tube underwater.
I can fix it by exiting to the menu or guide and then reentering but it’s really annoying.
I’ve asked the same question in the Roku forums and they say it’s an Xfinity app problem. I tend to agree because none of my other apps do that. It’s been happening for months and when o try to reach out to Xfinity I just get stuck in an automated response loop.

There is a much larger thread about this I started back in November, but yes since October this has been going on and they are aware of it, pushed it off temporarily to Roku, who took blame for a hot minute and came out with a new OS up from 11.5 to 12, but the issue is still happening so now it is back on Xfinity to work on. I am waiting for an update as I just emailed them back moments ago. In the meantime feel free to follow my thread or at least read up on it:

Getting old guys. Mostly happens to me with live sports. It’s pretty annoying. Worked fine when beta app… maybe it’s fine to roll back the app boys.

Agree - this same thing happens using the Roku ultra streaming box with no soundbar.
