Why doesn't Skip Forward and Fast Forward work on the Xfinity App on ROKU?

The ROKU standard is to display a screen when Fast Forward or Rewind is in use, the Xfinity app just shows a blank screen making you "guess" when to stop. The Right and Left buttons are traditionally a "Skip forward", "Skip backward" by some quanta (30 seconds, 1 min) - instead Xfinity have implemented these as alternative FF and REW. Why?

Is there any way to get the Xfinity App to work properly on a ROKU device?

Hello user_d6def3, thanks for taking the time to reach out on our Xfinity Forum. We appreciate you being a customer with us, and my team is here to support you.

I am further digging into this for you now. I can confirm the "Skip Forward" and "Fast Forward" functions on the Xfinity Stream app on Roku may not work consistently due to a few reasons. For troubleshooting purposes, did these functions work differently for you in the past, or have they always worked this way?

We appreciate your help in getting this figured out!

As long as I have been using it, it's has operated this way. (I started using it about 2 months ago).

This feels like a coding bug in the Xfinity app. They simply have not followed the ROKU standards for button control.

Additionally, this lack of functionality simply makes the app unusable.

This issue should be escalated to the development team responsible for the Xfinity App.
