Why is the streaming app so appalling?

It takes forever to load. I have to log out then back in to get a channel to load. Forget using the mini guide to change a channel like flipping between NFL games it will just stay on the loading screen until you log out and back in. I have. Smart TV with every other streaming service and yet the Xfinity App is the worst performer of them all. It’s almost unwatchable and very sad. I guess this is the punishment for not wanting to rent a box.
