Xfinity stream app not casting to tv

I've been an Xfinity customer for several years and have been using the Xfinity stream app to cast to TVs in my household that aren't connected to a box, for the last couple of months I haven't been able to cast my shows to any TV. I've tried everything and it just won't connect. It's not a TV issue, data speed issue, or firmware issue because other apps stream with no issue. After reading comments from customers having the same issue and the response given from Xfinity has me wondering if it's "time to cut the cord"... In a time where there's so many options available I'd hate to have to leave over something so simple to fix on their end. Seems like Comcast might find themselves in another class action lawsuit over a simple fix. The app literally has the word "stream" in it's title yet the capability to do so has been taken away. I hope this issue gets fixed soon, I'd hate to have to join the bandwagon as I have several Xfinity services that could end up cancelled also because of this issue.

Hey @user_1a732b,

We greatly appreciate you taking the time to provide us with your feedback in regards to the experience you have encountered with the Xfinity Stream application.

Would you be able to go more into detail of the issues you are encountering and more? What TV make/model are you using? What happens when you attempt to cast? Any error code or error messages populating? Any additional details you provide us will assist us better in troubleshooting your issues.

Hello @user_d8c63f. Are you having a similar issue? If so, we'd be happy to help. We'd need to know the make and model of the TV you're having this issue on, so we can dig a little deeper into the cause of this problem.

I no longer work for Comcast.

I am an Official Xfinity Employee.
