Xfinity stream can't find device

I've been using Xfinity Stream for several months and really didn't have issues until yesterday. Wanted to watch a show on my Vizio TV and when I went to cast, it said that it could not find any devices to cast to. I checked to make sure that both my phone and TV were on the same network. I've restarted my phone and the TV. I've unplugged the TV for 3 minutes 2x. Uninstalled the Xfinity Stream app and reinstalled it. Unplugged the router to reset it. Nothing worked.  I was able to use cast with YouTube, Disney+, and Peacock. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Good morning! I definitely understand how frustrating this is, especially since casting was working fine until yesterday. Thank you for already completing so much troubleshooting. Since YouTube, Disney+, and Peacock can still find and cast to your Vizio TV, let’s try a couple of things specifically with Xfinity Stream. Please make sure the Xfinity Stream app and your phone’s operating system are fully updated. Then, check that the Xfinity Stream app has permission to discover devices on your local network. On an iPhone, this can be found under Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network. Make sure Xfinity Stream is enabled. After checking that, completely close the Xfinity Stream app, reopen it, and try the Cast icon again.

I have a Samsung A14. I don't know how to check if my phone is set up to allow discovery of devices on my local network. My phone does have permission to access wifi on Xfinity Stream and my phone is on the same network as my TV.

Thanks for confirming that your Samsung A14 and TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network @clhawk! Let’s check one more setting that may help.

On your phone, open Settings, then Apps, select Xfinity Stream, and choose Permissions. If you see Nearby devices, make sure it’s allowed. Once that’s done, completely close and reopen the Xfinity Stream app and try connecting again.

If Nearby devices isn’t listed, let us know what permissions you do see.

Location is the only permission it has. I can't see anything about nearby devices.

I double checked my connections and my TV is 2.4. I finally find where check on my phone, and it looks like it uses both 2.4 and 5. I don't see a way to manually changed it and it has used both in the past week. Based on the amount to time it spends on each, it looks like to uses 2.4 to connect for streaming and once connected, switches back to 5.
