4K Box Question

I just bought a 4K TV.  I have a 4K box on one of my TVs (the cable into the room didn't work - so, the technician used a 4K wireless box).  If I take that box and plug it into another HDMI port on my new TV - will I be able to use it while my old Box is still plug'd in... In otherwise, If I select the HDMI port with the wifi box - I should be able to see how 4K looks via the wifi.  If I select the other HDMI with the old box - I will be able to watch TV normally.  If the WiFi works - I will just move the old box to another TV in my house.

Thanks!

Hi there, @user_1lh0u0 Yes, you can plug the wireless 4K Xfinity box into a different HDMI port on your new 4K TV to watch it, and your other box will still work normally on its HDMI port. You'll use your TV's input selector (remote) to switch between the ports to view the content from each box. For the wireless box to display 4K content, you need a 4K-certified HDMI cable and to ensure the TV's resolution settings are set to 4K.-Richard

OK - I picked up a WiFi box and it worked perfectly!  Now, next problem (smile).  Do I have to keep my main box (PX013ANC) in order to keep my DVR, etc. features going?  If so, can I just move it to another TV not on Comcast?  I am confused at this stage.

A little clarification may be needed.  I have the main box going to HDMI-1 and the WiFi one going to HDMI-4. I use the INPUT on my remote to select which HDMI port I want to see on TV.

Thanks!

Thank you, @user_1lh0u0 Yes, you must keep your main X1 DVR box (PX013ANC) connected to your Comcast cable service to retain all of your DVR features. You would not be able to move it to a TV that does not have Xfinity services. Yes, you can plug the Xfinity 4K wireless box into a different HDMI port on your new TV and use it while another box is still connected as long as the wireless box maintains its connection to the main Xfinity wireless gateway.-Richard

Thank you so very very much.  If you don't mind I have ONE MORE QUESTION - honest.  SMILE

The back of the 4K WiFi is a network connection.  I have my Router (or Modem - names keep changing) right next to it.  The Router has TWO connections.  Right now I have a Cat 6 Ethernet Cable running from the Router to my PC on one of two slots.  Can I plug a Cat 6 Ethernet Cable from the WiFi to the second Ethernet slot and eliminate the slower WiFi connection?  Now, IF I can connect them - how do I let my Xi6-A know to use the direct connection and not WiFi?

Thanks a bunch for your help.
