You can add someone to an Apple Family Sharing account directly from the Apple device that manages the family group.
The family organizer will need to open Settings on their iPhone or iPad, tap their name at the top, then select Family Sharing. From there, they can choose Add Family Member and send an invitation using Messages, Mail, or by inviting the person in person if they are nearby. The person being added must have an Apple ID and will need to accept the invitation on their own device.
Once added, Family Sharing allows eligible Apple subscriptions, purchases, and iCloud storage to be shared while each person keeps their own Apple ID and personal data.
Since Family Sharing is an Apple feature, all setup and management is handled directly through Apple settings. Comcast does not control how Family Sharing works, but you can find Apple’s step by step instructions here:
If Apple services that are billed through Xfinity are not appearing after Family Sharing is set up and accepted, signing out and back into the Apple ID or restarting the device usually resolves it.
