AM radios no longer working--suspect Xfinity!

Not sure where so post this weird question!

For the past couple weeks, all AM radios--from portable handhelds, to large shortwave sets and a huge Pioneer receiver w/AM, have stopped receiving AM. All I get is a horrible static. As an experiment today I took a portable outside my building and after I walked away from the building a few yards, AM was usable. SOMETHING is generating some kind of signal around my place that is washing out the AM signal. Nothing on my end is doing it. There is a phone pole next to me that I know has Xfinity stuff on it. I suspect Xfinity installed some find of “upgrade” that is killing my reception.

I have a right to use a radio without Xfinity killing it! Can anything be done?!

An internet search on this said the following (again, this is not happening from my equipment; it’s something very powerful doing it, and no, I don’t use anything wireless. I don’t even have a cell phone.)

"If your AM radio suddenly stopped working after Xfinity service was installed in your area, it's likely due to interference from the Xfinity cable line or the cable modem"

Thank you for joining the Xfinity Forums community, user_phl8gz. I know I'd be reaching out too if I were unable to enjoy my radio. Where is your radio located? If you turn off your Wi-Fi does it improve the radio signal? Have you tried changing the channel your Wi-Fi is broadcast to see if it helps?

It would really be nice if you folks would read the posts carefully. If you had, you would see where I said I USE NOTHING THAT IS WIRELESS. Thus, I could not be using wi fi.

I understand you may not be using Wi-Fi, but the broadcast signals would still be present unless you disabled them on your end. Do you have your Wi-Fi off, or do you use a standalone modem with no router? Are you in a complex or building with other units closeby?
