cancel unlimited data on internet

Hello! How can I opt out or cancel unlimited data for my internet account?

@user_8afph2 Are you paying for xFi Complete? Or did you sign up for a plan that might have included unlimited data? If you cancel Xfi Complete, unlimited data will come off, but you'll be charged for modem rental. I would find out about your plan first. Or check your statement online. You can use the Xfinity app for help with account and changing your plan.

Thanks for your reply. I only have internet access, so I added unlimited data for a short time when necessary. We no longer require unlimited data for our internet, and I'm unable to find a way to cancel. When I call, I get rerouted to ask to cancel online, which reroutes me to call. I was able to add the feature by changing my plan online, but am unable to get rid of it just as simply.

Hi user_8afph2, I can help you with your account and make sure Unlimited Data is removed. I see you mentioned that you no longer need the service, so I get why you're reaching out. Have there been any other changes in your home that would have you considering any other changes? How is your speed tier doing for your needs?

Hello, no other changes, I would just like the unlimited data removed from my internet account. Please tell me how I can go about this, and if the feature  is available for me to add from my account, why isn't the same feature available to remove?

user_8afph2, certain downgrades or service removals aren't built into the self-service flow on our website. But I can definitely get that removed. In order to get started can you please send a direct message to Xfinity Support with your full name and full address by clicking the chat icon in the top right? Here's the detailed steps to direct message us:
  • Click "Sign In" if necessary
  • Click the "Direct Message” icon (upper right corner of this page)
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send your message
