Cannot connect xfinity stream to my laptop

Previously was able to watch live TV on my laptop. Was told Yesterday by CS rep that a new streaming app has to be installed. Cannot seem to do that.

user_24n62i, Thank you for reaching out to Xfinity Support. There is not a new Xfinity Stream app that needs to be downloaded for laptop users. You can access Xfinity Stream on laptops by visiting xfinity.com/stream using browsers like Safari, Google Chrome, Firefox, or Microsoft Edge. There is no separate app required for laptops; customers can simply use their web browsers to enjoy Xfinity Stream content.
