Closed captioning still a problem

I have privately reported this issue multiple times to Xfinity. Each time I have asked that they update their programming to the streaming Xfinity app but nothing ever changes closed. Captions by default is always on and I have to manually turn it off each time I either change a channel or launch the app. There is no reason for this. Moreover, the closed captions are often right in the middle of the screen. So even if I were using the closed captions, they would be blocking my view of the screen.  I'd like to know why the Xfinity programmers don't test them this for themselves

jlh999 - Thank you for your feedback! To set optoins for closed captions please try these steps:

On any Xfinity Stream portal page, click the Settings icon (the gear icon ) at the right side of the menu bar at the top of the page.
On the Settings page, click Accessibility.
On the Accessibility page, click the On/Off switch to turn on CC.

You can also change the appearance of the captions here!

@XfinityThomasA​ it is turned off on my app on my phone and there is no option to turn  off the caption on the app on my streaming tool/television.  The problem is with the app and the app that gets installed on like a fire TV or something because there is no way to turn off the captions on the app that I have on my television.  I've been dealing with this for a very long time now and it astounds me that Xfinity can't fix it.

Thank you for your feedback. jlh999 - Are you able to toggle the closed caption via the Xfinity Stream Portal? During a program, on the program playback page, scroll over the Language Settings icon (the chat box icon) and click it. You can also press the letter G on your keyboard while inside the player to bring up options to toggle the closed captions.

What and where is the Xfinity Stream Portal? your fixes require technological prowess to fix this issue. I reported this issue and nothing!
