Closed captioning still a problem
I have privately reported this issue multiple times to Xfinity. Each time I have asked that they update their programming to the streaming Xfinity app but nothing ever changes closed. Captions by default is always on and I have to manually turn it off each time I either change a channel or launch the app. There is no reason for this. Moreover, the closed captions are often right in the middle of the screen. So even if I were using the closed captions, they would be blocking my view of the screen. I'd like to know why the Xfinity programmers don't test them this for themselves

On any Xfinity Stream portal page, click the Settings icon (the gear icon ) at the right side of the menu bar at the top of the page.
On the Settings page, click Accessibility.
On the Accessibility page, click the On/Off switch to turn on CC.
